Content: Apparently a re-issue by Hogenberg's sons of a group of the historical prints he issued in various sets over a period of years. In this volume a series of engraved numbers (2-380 with gaps) appears on the plates; some are unnumbered. For a detailed listing of Hogenberg's approximately 485 historical prints, cf. Content: Most of the engravings include at foot German verses and date of event; some have additional engraved French descriptive text or mounted slips with French letterpress.
