A collection of separate maps by various designers and engravers, printed at Rome and Venice between 1554 and 1572, for which a general t.-p. (as above) was prepared, presumably by Antoine Lafréry, in or about 1572.
Content: The New York Public Library copy comprises the 6 printed leaves of place-names, 96 of the 170 maps and plans listed by Wieder, and also a plan of "Tocqvay, ouer Doggey" and a double plate of "Il Gran Conseglio Di Venetia ... Venetijs, VIII jdus julij M.D.LXVI" not described by the authorities cited, with one leaf at end containing a (contemporary) ms. index.
