Battery of ten forge heating furnaces using pulverized coal as fuel. These furnaces are arranged in pairs, between each [two] of which is a waste heat boiler. This waste heat boiler is also equipped with an auxiliary pulverized coal burner, which is used as supplementary fuel to the waste heat gases. This picture shows a close up view of the forge heating furnaces. The auxiliary coal fired burner on the waste heat boiler is shown in the bottom left hand corner.
