Content: Printed on verso: "Pirates of the Spanish Main" "It was about the middle of the year 1721 that George Lowther, mate of the stout ship, 'Gambia Castle,' determined to seize the vessel, and steer for the Spanish Main. With nine-and-forty companions won over, he slipped out of the river Gambia, in Africa, re-christened his vessel the 'Happy Delivery,' and steered for Barbadoes. Many were the poor merchant ships that fell a prey to this sea-hawk. During his piratic career of about three years, he swept the coasts and bays from Newfoundland to Guiana."
