Description
Excerpt 1 (00-31:06 minutes). Leida Snow interviews Meat Loaf (Michael Lee Aday (born Marvin Lee Aday)), American singer and actor along with American composer and lyricist Jim Steinman who wrote songs for Meat Loaf. Meat Loaf talks about the beginning of his career as an actor with the New York Public Theater, and about his experience working with his friend and long-term collaborator, Steinman. Steinman discusses his work as a composer, and speaks about the history behind his new song "Paradise by the dashboard light." Various songs by Steinman performed by Meat Loaf are played during the program. Excerpt 2 (31:07-60:00 minutes). John Ogle interviews American musician, singer, and songwriter Paul Stanley who talks about his career as the rhythm guitarist and co-lead singer of the rock band Kiss, and as the writer and co-writer of many of the band's highest-charting hits. He also explains the difference between Kiss and other bands such as the Beatles and others; about his collaboration with other Kiss band members; and about the popularity of record albums by Kiss, such as "Rock and roll over" (1976) and "Love gun" (1977). Recordings of various songs by Kiss are played during the program.
