Robert Farris Thompson (Master T), the Colonel John Trumbull Professor of the History of Art at Yale University discusses Mambo which shows a fusion of a variety of dance styles from lindy, to ballet, to bomba, to Afro-Cuban dance, interspersed with slides of still images and video footage, concludes with a Question & Answer session. Part of a series of free public programs on African dance presented by the Jerome Robbins Dance Division with The Committee for the Jerome Robbins Dance Division.
