Notes
Content: "Here is a happy family in the usual style of travelling adopted in Japan by the poorer classes for the lack of transit facilities. The father carries a bamboo pole with a basket attached at each end, which he balances on his shoulders. In one basket is his oldest child and in the other his luggage. He does not feel the weight as the difference is overcome by keeping the two baskets in equilibrium."--printed on verso.
