Statement of responsibility: [presented by the] Royal Winnipeg Ballet ; choreography by Agnes de Mille ; music by Morton Gould.
Performers: Performed by members of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, including Joost Pelt (the pastor), Margaret Slota (the stepmother), and others, with guest artist Sallie Wilson (the Accused).
Venue: Videotaped in the studio of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, in rehearsal clothes, with piano accompaniment, on July 17, 1980.
Funding: Preservation of this video was supported by a grant from the National Historical Publications and Records Commission.

Description
Unedited footage, with time code at bottom, recorded for the documentary Fall River legend, co-produced by the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen. The rehearsal is supervised by Agnes de Mille, who also relates the story of Lizzie Borden to the company, and discusses the symbolism of the ax and Gould's music. Wilson talks about her experiences with the ballet and her changing perceptions of the role. Video director Stan Lathan and executive producer Ruth Leon also appear on camera.
