Content: Fanny Elssler wearing a low-cut gown, posed in fourth position left foot front, pointe tendue, left arm extended almost to shoulder height at her side, the right arm held shoulder high and bent at the elbow, hand level with her head which is inclined to her left. A waterfall and rocky gorge with a bridge overhung by a pine tree forms the background.
