Description
Depicts names and location of old streets, location of demolished colonial era houses and landmarks and East River shoreline. Indicates location of "Petersfield residence of Peter G. Stuyvesant" and "Bowery House residence of Nich. Wm. Stuyvesant ." Covers area bound by 6th St., Bowery, 16th St. and Avenue A. Includes "For D.T. Valentine's Manual for 1862" printed on bottom right margin and "Lith. by Geo Hayward 171 Pearl St New York" at bottom left margin.
