Description
Agnes de Mille's dictated correspondence, as recorded by De Mille in September of 1975, and a conversation between De Mille and George Braga (date unknown). Streaming audio file 1 (approximately 31 minutes). [Begins abruptly.] Agnes de Mille dictates correspondence to Harry Warren, Mike Lurio, Théres̀e Horner, Ambassador Hans Christian Lankes, and Leland Windreich; the letter dictated to Warren is mainly about her opinion of Lester Horton's choreography; the other letters concern her recent cerebral hemorrhage and the aftermath including the dispersion of the dancers in her company [Agnes de Mille Dance Theatre (Heritage Dance Theatre)], and other personal matters including discussion of her family and mutual acquaintances [ends abruptly].
