Description
Documentation of a gala dance performance presented at the National Arts Centre, Ottawa, on May 30, 1981. The event, produced by Norman Campbell, featured the Anna Wyman Dance Theatre, the Danny Grossman Dance Company, Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, Le Groupe de la Place Royale, the National Ballet of Canada, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet, Toronto Dance Theatre, and Winnipeg's Contemporary Dancers. Performance footage is interspersed with rehearsal and backstage scenes. Musicians:the National Arts Center Orchestra conducted by George Crum and Vladimir Jelinek.
