Ownership: Folio 1 is inscribed: "e libris Gulielmi Chapple, 1775." Wilberforce Eames acquired it for his library (Brooklyn, NY) in 1926 from W. M. Voynich. Gift of Eames, 1940.
Content: De Ricci, 2313. De Ricci, Supplement, 329. Chart by Dr. G.B. Guest. Note in manuscript.
Content: Note pasted into flyleaf says that William Chapple was West Country topographer, according to Dictionary of National Biography.
Content: Part I, 18-19 long lines, ruled in drypoint (visible in lower left corner).

Content: 1-line red, blue and green initials.
Date: Sources disagree as to place and date of this manuscript. De Ricci places it in England ca. 1300. Guest places it in England, possibly Oxford, ca. 1230s. Later hands write notes in margin, on last folios.
