Content: Note on cover: This little story was suggested after witnessing the occurrence in actual life. The girl was one of five motherless children, and after her father's affliction, her one ambition in life was to "mother" her younger brothers and sisters, and then after housekeeping duties were done, lead her "daddy" by the hand to his favorite haunts -- the old docks and the more modern Recreation Piers of the East side. Sitting by his side, looking up in his sightless eyes, while the band was playing, it was her plaintive "Ain't it nice, daddy?" that caused her devotion to be noticed by her elder companions in poverty, who christened her "The Pride of the Pier."
Content: Summary on cover: sung with great success by the little magnet, Lottie Gilson. Cover includes photograph of Lottie Gilson.
