Content: Printed on mount: "Model home of the Walter Pierce family on their farm near Hutchinson, Kansas. The original farm, consisting of a quarter section, was bought by Walter Pierce's father from a man who couldn't keep up on a $300 mortgage. Today, the farm consists of 650 acres, a tribute to modern progressive management. The first Pawnee wheat ever grown was raised here in 1941. Pawnee, a high-yield, new strain, goes into the flour used in the baking of wonder Bread. (The Walter Pierce family and their new farm house appear in the Rising Wonder broadcast, on page 12 of the script.)"
Ownership: From the Kansas portion of the 25th anniversary broadcast of the Contiental Baking Company over the CBS network
