Biographical/historical: Richard Flexmore, also known as Dicky Flexmore, was a popular British clown and pantomime artist. His skill as a dancer allowed him to parody some of the leading ballet dancers of the day, among them Jules Perrot, Carlotta Grisi, and Fanny Cerrito.
Acquisition: Gift; Lincoln Kirstein.
