Statement of responsibility: This performance was videotaped by the Jerome Robbins Archive of the Recorded Moving Image of the Dance Collection of The New York Public Library with the cooperation of the Center for Traditional Music and Dance, Badenya Organizing Committee, Mamadou Niang, John Jay College Theater, The City University of New York.
Creation/production credits: Badenya Organizing Committee: chair, Kewulay Kamara, and Sherrif Ceesay, Babou Kassé, Mamadou Niang, Mahamadou Salieu Suso ; Center for Traditional Music and Dance, artistic and executive director, Ethel Raim ; sound, Douglas Rice ; lighting, Violet Lee.
Venue: Videotaped in performance at John Jay College Theater, The City University of New York, New York, on May 30, 1998. Video production: director, Mamadou Niang ; cameras, Ghasem Ebrahimian, Mark Braverman ; editing, François Bernadi.
