Content: With an inscription, in an unknown hand, on a circular card which formerly served as backing for the painting: "Prego che 'l pianto / mio finisca Morte["] / 1827, 1829, 1829 / morta 28 Gennajo / 1835 / "Non la conobbe il mondo / mentre l'ebbe: / "Conobbil'io, ch'a / pianger qui rimasi.["]

Description
Bust-length miniature portrait, subject facing forward. She wears a red shawl over a black dress and a white ruffled bonnet. One of a set of three miniature portraits of the women of the Tighe family by an unidentified artist, probably painted between 1827 and 1829.
