Content: Notes taken from inscription on verso/ full title: "Abandoned gold mines and mills with piles of tailings in San Juan County, Colorado. The results of excessive cutting of timber can be plainly seen. This section still has important mineral deposits because the high grade ore deposits are now inaccessable and the easily accessable deposits are of low grade that many operators are not attracted."
