Content: Picture caption: "Am Kampf gegen die feindliche Versorgungsschiffahrt ist unsere U-Boot-Waffe auch im Monat Juni ganz hervorragend beteiligt. Insgesamt gelingt es, 156 Schiffe mit 886 000 BRT zu versenken. Hierauf entfallen auf die U-Boot-Waffe 132 Schiffe mit 755 000 BRT. 58 Schiffe sind schwer beschädigt worden."
Content: U-boat crewmen gather around the periscope to observe their submarine's target, probably an unescorted merchant ship after it has been torpedoed. Only the captain would be using the periscope during an attack, and there would be no time for this sort of "sightseeing" if they had hit a ship in an escorted convoy.
