Description
The 80,000 dollars have just arrived; if they could be equally successful in procuring about 2,000 stand of arms, their friends at home would be much better off; the look-out boats have not yet returned; the report is that the British are 3,000 strong, that they have burned Suffolk and returned again to Portsmouth; the Virginia militia are turning out well; if the enemy are but 3,000 strong they shall not have Baltimore without a struggle, nor should they Annapolis if there were 2,000 more stand of arms.
