Description
Has written by Dale respecting their business before Congress; now states that Mr. Stone had moved, and Mr. Laurence seconded, the motion that it should be the order of the day on the next Friday, [4th]; would suggest Capt. Barry's presence but for the uncertainty; Mr. Tonry thinks his attendance is necessary; Mr. Huntingdon has promised Capt. Harding to support the motion; Col. Bland's death has suspended business for two days; the place of meeting of the next Congress is yet undecided, New York and Philadelphia are named, but it may be that the despised Baltimore will be selected; refers to the admission to the Union of Rhode Island; is sorry that the business is fixed for Friday, as sailor like he has no good opinion of any thing done on that day.
